Just because I’ve waited until the twenty fifth day to feature Beta-Carotene doesn’t change the fact that it is at the top of my”Delicious Medicine” picks. This time of year, there’s no reason not to get your RDI (recommended daily intake) of Vitamin-A-making Beta-Carotene. We also enjoy an extra benefit of a metamorphosis; Beta-Carotene turns into Vitamin A. Now for the big reveal, the analog of Vitamin A, Absisic Acid is responsible for waking our immune system up. Different scenarios can occur in our body which can have a “blinding effect” on the immune system, causing it to become unresponsive. When we eat foods like pumpkin, spaghetti squash, carrots, tumeric (from Days 11 & 23,) our bodies do the work for us, and the “Guard Dog ” of our health; the immune system, prevents, fights, and heals, better than almost any other “Weapon of Breast Cancer Destruction” we know of. Enjoy that pumpkin pie! Oh! and don’t forget the real whipped cream. Vitamin A is fat-soluble, we have to have fat to use it. Yay! I like Mother Nature’s way of thinking!
